Pan Am Flies Again Tonight

Tune in to ABC tonight, Sunday, September 25, at 9 p.m. Central (10 p.m. Eastern.)
Hopefully this will be an entertaining reincarnation of what it was like to fly as a stewardess/steward in the 1950s and 1960s - the golden age of passenger flight .
I'm going to cut them lots of slack - but will be critical if it turns out to be just another soap opera.

Flying the Friendly Skies for 53 Years

Just a reminder - Norma Heape has nothing on Delta/Northwest's Bob Reardon!
Bob will be celebrating his 60th year as a F/A and Purser on October 3, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. at the Officer's Club at Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. See my last blog for RSVP information. His co-worker, Richard Moody, is directing this extravaganza, which he is calling "All About Bob." (Reardon says, "Moody is over the top. He is always over the top!)
I'll be there - please join me as we salute probably the most senior working flight attendant in the world!
At 87, he is still going strong. Top: at the NWA History Centre in June, 2011

March, 2011, in Tokyo, (Bob, center) right after the earthquake.
